Hi Ian! First of all thanks for your effort and time that you give in your articles it always help me.I just want to say that keep posting article like this.
The aspect I'm not seeing is finding content - I don't think contentcal has this curating feature which smarterqueue and meet edgar do. I do like the sound of how they're doing things but the UI put me off as did the lack of evergreen functionality. Glad to be corrected though - do you know anything about these aspects?

Hi Sue, great question. I'll ask ContentCal about that, and maybe they can respond directly to you here. You're right in saying that ContentCal doesn't directly help with this, but you could use another tool such as Feedly and bring the content into ContentCal fairly easily. I prefer to use separate tools to be honest because I use a number of different content sources including Facebook groups - and it wouldn't be possible to automatically bring in content from a private group. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your question Sue and great reply Ian. We've got some exciting new evergreen functionality coming in the next few weeks, but it's an area that we are thinking about very carefully given the latest updates to Twitter's terms of service (re-posting of Tweets is now banned) which will really impact the way SmarterQueue and MeetEdgar work. MeetEdgar are already busy working on a new solution to address this. Never a dull moment in social! That said, the UI is usually the reason people move to us as it feels the most intuitive way to manage social, but I can understand it's not for everyone. :)
Even though I'm a solopreneur, I think ContentCal could be a life saver for me!! I currently use AirTable for planning and coordinating blog posts, social media posts, and product management. It has advantages as a data base, like linking info, but not the sophistication I'm seeing, here, for ContentCal in the actual planning and calendar perspective. I'm definitely going to give it a try!

Thanks, Elizabeth. I think ContentCal can work really well for solopreneurs too. We still need to plan our content - even if we're working on our own. Working with a planning and workflow set up can really boost our productivity and efficiency. Then, when we expand and hire VAs or other people, we can fit them easily into the setup. Let me know how you get on!
This is the great info, I was searching for topic and got to this link, appreciate your work, I like this blog
So glad the post was helpful for you!

Thanks so much Elizabeth, always happy to help and let us know how we can improve in any way.
Would you advise the free trial? Not sure the product is for us, but want to try.
Hi Mary, it's certainly worth a try. What is it you are concerned about? Ian
