Draft for Ian to check (28 October 2026). Written from his existing pages and notes. Still to confirm:

  • Faith: in October 2023 you chose not to name your Christian faith in brand copy, so this draft shows values without naming it. Tell me if this page should say more
  • Whether to say anything about ADHD and neurodiversity from your own experience
  • Any belief missing

These are the beliefs that shape how I work, what I recommend and what I won't do.

People matter more than tools

Technology is only worth anything if it helps people. I judge every tool, including AI, by one question: does it help someone do more of what they're good at?

AI should make us more human, not less

AI is brilliant at drafts, summaries and repetitive work. It is not a replacement for judgement, care or creativity. I'm excited about it, and I'm honest about its limits.

Clear is kind

If you can't explain something simply, you probably don't understand it well enough. I use the real terms, explain them, and never hide behind jargon.

Everyone can grow in confidence

Confidence isn't something you're born with. It's built, a step at a time, with encouragement. Many of the most talented people I know are the least sure of themselves.

Honesty over hype

No fake urgency, no fake scarcity, no tricks to get you to buy. If something isn't right for you, I'll say so. When I earn money from a recommendation, I tell you.

Give generously

I've been helped by many people along the way, so a lot of what I know is free on this site. Helping people well is the best marketing there is.

Real community beats chasing the algorithm

I'd rather have a smaller group of people who trust each other than a big audience that doesn't care. Posting for the sake of it helps nobody.

Everyone is welcome

Different brains, backgrounds and abilities make better ideas. This site is built to work for everyone, and so is my training.

Fun is allowed

Learning sticks when you're enjoying yourself. I take the work seriously and myself a lot less so.
